The Invasion (2007)

With principal photography and filming completed in 2005, Warner Bros. faced quite the problem with director Oliver Hirschbiegel's original vision for The Invasion. In their eyes, the film was light on action and in need of a huge punch up. The studio then turned to the Wachowskis to rework the script, and later James McTeigue to direct the reshoots in order to add a higher level of excitement to this sci-fi thriller starring Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig. In short, the additional costs of the reshoots ($10 million) weren't justified, thanks to the film's mediocre critical reception and poor performance at the box office.
