E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982)

In this film, we witness the epic adventure of a boy who attempts to conceal the alien E.T. from the prying eyes of humans. After many lighthearted alien/boy adventure scenes, we arrive at this one, in which E.T. is discovered: pale, shriveled up and dying. This scene, while not particularly scary, was devastating to witness, although thankfully as we all know, he didn’t actually die.
