Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971)

In one scene, Willy Wonka has ushered his guests onto a boat for what seems like an innocent enough ride through the factory. Once they enter a dark tunnel, however, Wonka transforms into a dead-eyed maniac who recites terrifying verses of rhyme. At the same time, lights start flashing and disturbing images appear on the tunnel walls as the boat speeds ahead. Wouldn’t this just make the best ride at an amusement park?
