Tippi Hedren revealed in 2017 that the man who helped build her career — legendary director Alfred Hitchcock — also threatened to destroy it after she refused his sexual advances: “When he told me that he would ruin me, I just told him do what he had to do. I went out of the door and slammed it so hard that I looked back to see if it was still on its hinges.” She mentions situations when Hitchcock would try to kiss her and would tell her his intimate fantasies.
