Ali Wong & Randall Park as Sasha and Marcus – Always Be My Maybe (2019)

Though comedians Ali Wong and Randall Park have been around for years, leading roles have been hard to come by for both. That they only get to share the screen with each other in the Netflix rom-com Always Be My Maybe is further proof of how hard these roles are to come by in major Hollywood studio films. What's great about the movie is that though there are a few culturally specific elements to it, the film doesn't rely on them as a crutch to justify the casting of its two leads. The end result allows the two actors to be free with their roles and give their all in one of 2019's funnier comedies. The film also deserves a special shoutout for the additional casting of Keanu Reeves in a gloriously hilarious cameo.
