Having grown up speaking Spanish in Argentina until she was six, then learning English after moving to London, it's hard not to cut Anya Taylor-Joy some slack when she can't nail a foreign accent. In The New Mutants, Taylor-Joy plays Magik, a Russian mutant. Overall, her portrayal of the cold and mean Magik was good, but her attempt at a Russian accent really ruined her performance in an already weak film. Like many others on this list, Taylor-Joy tried her best to maintain her character's thick Russian accent, but ended up slipping back and forth between it and her natural one.
