dead_mans_bonesRyan Gosling has announced a North American tour with his group, Dead Man’s Bones, to promote their upcoming self-titled debut album. Dead Man’s Bones will be released October 6 through Anti-Records. The label describes the album as “a striking collection of doo-wop songs about werewolves, haunting melodies telling tales of zombies with broken hearts, and children singing the joys and pains of being alive or being dead.” It features the Silverlake Conservatory Children’s Choir and was produced by Tim Anderson. They’ll be auditioning local childrens’ choirs in each city where they play to perform with them. The band formed in 2005 when Gosling met drummer Zach Shields and found they were both obsessed with ghosts. Canadian tour dates for Dead Man’s Bones are: Montreal on October 19 at Le National; Toronto on October 20 at The Music Gallery; and Vancouver on October 24 at The Venue.
