Robin Wright Penn filed for and was granted a dismissal of her divorce petition this week from her husband of almost 12 years, Sean Penn, according to Extra. The couple denied reports that she found him drunk in a hotel room last December with Russian strippers, precipitating the divorce petition, as was reported earlier. This week, the couple showed up at an Eddie Vedder concert in Berkeley, Calif., where Penn went up on stage to wish his wife a happy birthday. They have two children together: Hopper Jack, 14, and Dylan Frances, 17.
Robin Wright-Penn should have married Cary Elwes. Then she’d be Robin Wright-Elwes and they could make an awesome sequel to the Princess Bride.
what a waste of time and energy … so they agreed to kiss and make up until the next catastrophe. given penn’s ego and swollen head, probably like eddie murphy’s marriage it will take maybe a week or so to happen, depending how conscious and attentive dear robin is.
I think it’s good that “at least one” Hollywood couple have put there difference aside for the sake of their children, or the vow of marriage…it’s old-school. Our parents had to tough it out in an arguement when divorce was frowned upon, why should they be any different…b/c they have $$, big deal…work out your sh*t and move on.
I think it is great if they can work through this. I just hope it is not a neverending rollercoaster of divorce, no divorce…
Time will tell, but here’s hoping they can make it work, and not just “for the kids’ sake”.
I do wish them well. When they got married 4 score and seven ago I didn’t think it would last long then as he was such a hot head and seemingly screwed up nobody. I was wrong they’ve been married close to twenty yrs and he is a brilliant actor and producer. I do hope they work it out and stay out of the media and it isn’t one of those on again off again over and over makeup/breakups.
You do know a “score” is 20 years?
yeah, and 12 years isn’t very close to 20, especially when it comes to marraige
