Sir Elton John holds annual Oscar Awards viewing party

Elton John hosted his annual Oscar Awards viewing party in California on Sunday night.

The “Your Song” hitmaker and his husband David Furnish threw their traditional star-studded bash yesterday as they invited their industry pals round to watch the glamorous ceremony and cheer on the nominees from afar.

The couple, who have been together for nearly 23 years, were joined by their close friend Mariah Carey at the shindig and she flaunted her incredible figure in a skin-tight black front and flashed her new dazzling engagement ring while posing for photographs with Elton and other A-list celebrities.

Giving fans a sneak peak at what was unfolding behind closed doors, the 68-year-old singer uploaded a series of photographs throughout the night, including one shot of him with Mariah, 45, but it’s not known if the blonde beauty’s new billionaire fiance James Packer was also in attendance.

Caitlyn Jenner – who was known as Bruce Jenner prior to her gender transition surgery last year – also graced the glamorous party with her presence as she stunned in a red floor-length gown featuring a daring thigh-high split.

However, it wasn’t just pop stars and reality TV beauties that turned up at the bash as rocker Steven Tyler arrived to watch the Oscars shenanigans on a huge screen, while fashionista Kelly Osbourne let her hair down at the famous viewing party.

British chef Gordon Ramsay also made an entrance as he arrived in a tuxedo, while Formula 1 champ Lewis Hamilton set tongues wagging when he rocked up arm-in-arm with model Hailey Baldwin, who has been romantically linked with her friend Justin Bieber in recent months.

Meanwhile, the charitable event, which Elton has held every year for the past 24 years, not only allows people who weren’t able to attend the actual Oscars watch the awards ceremony but it also raises cash for the Elton John Aids Foundation.
