Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios have announced that Marc Webb, who directed the Golden Globe-nominated (500) Days of Summer will helm Spider-Man 4. Sam Raimi, who directed the previous three Spider-Man movies, pulled out of the fourth film due to time constraints and creative difficulties. Spider-Man 4, set to be released in summer 2012, will focus on the superhero as a teenager and will feature a new cast. Webb said in a statement he wasn’t taking over from Raimi as “that would be impossible, not to mention arrogant. I’m here because there’s an opportunity for ideas, stories and histories that will add a new dimension, canvas and creative voice to Spider-Man.” ~Alexandra Heilbron

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is a non-stop visual treat for Spider-Man fans, giving you the feeling that you’re inside a colorful, animated comic book.
Is he related to that guy that directed Quantum of Solace? Both directors are only good at low budget dramas and have never had any big picture experience. I am thinking Spider Man will suck, like how Quantum of Solace sucked.
Straight to DVD.
Good choice. 8)
