T.R. Knight wants off Grey’s Anatomy

T.R. KnightT.R. Knight, who plays George O’Malley on Grey’s Anatomy, has asked to be written off the hit medical series. According to People magazine, a source says it’s likely Knight will be released from his contract at his request. Apparently Knight is unhappy with his storyline and the lack of screen time for his character. “It’s time to move on,” says the source. “It just feels like this is the right time to go.” Knight, who’s openly gay, may also be upset with producers for abruptly writing Brooke Smith, who played a lesbian character, off the show earlier this season.

Well, I think they are allowing him out of his contract so willingly because they want to bring back Isaiah Washington as Dr. Preston Burke…the one they fired because he said something about T.R. Knight’s being gay. The reason why I think this is because Grey’s Anatomy has really sucked ever since they got rid of Dr. Burke and it’s time to bring those ratings back up or call it quits!

Are you kidding me? Getting rid of Burke was the best thing they ever did!

Well, the show has done nothing but go downhill since then…

He seems like a nice guy and capable enough actor, but he has had ZERO chemistry with any of the actresses he’s been “coupled” with. It just doesn’t work and isn’t believable. Maybe he’s just tired of the hetero. character he’s been playing, and wants to move on because he’s not very interested anymore.

agree on the “zero chemistry” remark, Lou 100 percent there.
this show has been a huge bore for a couple of years now, I’ve tried to watch it again a few times and it will never live up to the first couple of years, for me. Dead loss now.

I was really into Gray’s Anatomy in the first season but how boring is all that sleeping around and changing sexual orientation and such. Give me ER any day.

I agree with the two above posters – the show was good at first but it’s just awful now. I liked it for the medical stuff but I don’t care about their private lives, they’re all disgusting sleazes. I stopped watching when I realized there wasn’t one character that was even bearable anymore.
