Twilight moves into Harry Potter‘s old date

Twilight movie sceneThe highly-anticipated Twilight movie, based on the hugely-successful vampire series by Stephenie Meyer, has been moved up from its December 12th release date to November 21stHarry Potter and the Half Blood Prince’s old release date. Summit Entertainment’s Rob Friedman explains that they jumped at the opportunity to take over the recently vacated release date adding, “We by no means are trying to fill the shoes of the incredible Potter franchise for 2008. Rather, we are just looking to bring the fans of Stephenie Meyer’s increadible book series the film as soon as possible.” The teen vampire romance stars Kristin Stewart and Harry Potter alum, Robert Pattinson. At least something good is coming from the Harry Potter delay.

I don’t see the point in getting angry at a movie because it happens to be given the release date of another movie. I’ve read both series of books and they are both phenomenal. I must admit I’m nervous about how good Twilight will be, given that the books were SO good, but I’ll certainly be in line to see it.

As far as I’m concerned both are amazing books no question there and I know people that are absolutely estastic that Twilight is coming out sooner, but as far is Harry Potter is concerned I am not looking forward to the movie at ALL, I mean how much farther can they butcher this book ?!?! If you actually read the books and watch the movies they are almost 100% different, they change storylines to fit, cut out characters that pertain to the next book and most things aren’t there, from what they’ve shown of this movie, there are only a few mems they had better be the ones pertaining to the next book or the last movie is not gonna make any sense, and if they butcher this movie just think what they’ll do to the last movie..oh godd, I would read the books over seeing the movie any day

Although Twilight had better be a good movie, otherwise people will be pissed, my sister is in love with the books if the movie sucks she’ll see what I’m talking about how they alter the book to make it a movie and change things…
Seriously what is the point of adapting a movie to the big screen if your changing what the author put? It’s obviously famous or it wouldn’t be selling so why change a good thing?
