Vampires take over box office

30 Days of NightThe new vampire movie 30 Days of Night, starring Josh Hartnett, led the box office with $16 million (all figures US) in its opening weekend. Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married moved to second, taking in 12.1 million. The Game Plan held onto third place with an additional $8.1 million, while Michael Clayton dropped a spot to fourth, grossing $7.1 million. Ben Affleck’s feature film directorial debut, Gone Baby Gone, debuted in fifth place, earning $6 million.
