Fake story line. Just good acting and action. The story does not reflect anything that has happened during that period. Just the acting.

It's not as good as Pulp Fiction, but what is... Awesome acting, funny, creatively violent, its a little bit different than what you would expect any movie to be but with an open mind I think this is Quentin Tarantino's best since Pulp Fiction, i enjoyed it as much as Reservoir Dogs and it was almost as good as Pulp Fiction even.

Inglourious Basterds is a movie that has ramped up tension that I have not seen so well done in a long time. This is NOT a WW2 version of Kill Bill. There are no scenes that go on for ten or fifteen minutes of blood bathing.There is character develoment, a wicked sense of humour, and some down right scary situations that just crank your senses to new heights of fear. Tarantino has done a masterful job on this movie.

Disappointing. Good acting but terrible story or should I say stories. With subtitles, you couldn't even rest your eyes or look away during the gory parts! It was a serious subject written and editted poorly. Pass on it.

Absolutely awesome...loved it! Brad Pitt was excellent, as one would expect. The supporting actors were also very gifted and the plot was highly entertaining. I predict some Oscars here!

Absolutely loved it, and am a big Tarantino fan. Before you watch this movie, you should check out Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill....if it's not your style, then don't waste your time. IT IS NOT A WAR FLICK, SO DON'T EXPECT TO SAVE PRIVATE RYAN.

Anyone complaining of the violence is clearly unaware of who Tarantino is. This move was very much less gory than I expected from a Tarantino flick. Surprisingly it was much better than I thought it would be. It ended up being very entertaining. It was a light hearted (if you can call it that)take on the WWII era that was remeniscient of Hogans Heroes in a way.

Tarantino outdoes himself. Brilliant movie but scary implications. Should have come out in 1945-1946 when the U.S. was helping certain former Nazis hide their identity.

If you like Tarantino's movies and his style of story telling you will love this movie. It truly is one of his best movies he has ever done. Of course it is violent and twisted, if you expected anything less, then you do not his style at all and you will probably not enjoy this movie. Worth seeing for sure.

I cant believe its rated as 14A,,, it has so many scense of violence, peoples skulls being cut open with a knife, dead bodies and blood throughout the whole movie plus its boring as hell and like 2 hours and 30 mins long,,,, its a gay movie

Unless you are a Tarantino fan, don't see this movie. It drags on forever. The whole story could have been told in less than half an hour and you should really be able to guess what is going to happen - because it's written by Tarantino.

Horrible..outrageously violent... I will say that Christoph Waltz did give a terrifying, realistic performance as the SS officer hunting down Jewish victims....How this type of movie could ever be viewed as 'entertainment' is not conceivable to me... Somebody needs to recommend a few more sessions with a "Shrink" for Tarantino....

OMG! NOT USED TO SUB-TITLES AND UNFORTUNATELY MISSED SOME STUFF. lOVE BEING NEXT TO A "READ OUT LOUD PERSON" IN THE MOVIES.....NOT! THAT SAID, LVOED EVERYONE IN IT AND ONE OF THE PREVIOUS COMMENTS WAS BANG ON, IT'S VIOLENT, DRAMATIC AND IN SOME WAYS FUNNY??

I thought I was going to see a WWII film, but what I really saw was a stage play. Only a handful of violence in this movie, so little to the point where I almost fell asleep. I'm your typical movie goer. I like my war films messy. This movie does have fantastic acting, but if you're looking for a violent shoot 'em up war movie, this isn't it at all.

This movie is exceptional, 5 stars! The dialogue is perfectly crafted, and so fun & interesting to listen to. Lots of subtitles, but it just adds to the movie's class. The story is exceptionally put together, and the characters very interesting. I really liked the alternate history of the war, and the ending was excellent. Everyone clapped in the theatre! Also, though it is an action movie, it is also a comedy and the film's tone is not very serious. Nonetheless, excellent performances and a definite academy-award winner.

I hate gory movies. I have a hard time watching them. This movie is not gory. Its fantastic. Its witty and intelligent. Remember this is a Blockbuster MOVIE not a documentary so of course its not historically acurate. I do think that the rating is a little lower, with the adult humour, and violence, and mature ideas. However, if you are interested in mindless blowing up (like other action movies) then this might not be the movie for you. some people said the subtitles were too fast... if you cant read then maybe go back to school :) like i said this is an intelligent film. 5 stars. While not the most exhilarating movie I have ever seen the story was entertaining. Tarantino is a good story teller. We never find out if the serving of milk was just coincidence.
