Theatre Reviews

Showing 51 to 60 of 76

I was an avid movie frequenter prior to the cineplex takeover. All I can say is you need to invest some of your profits into a huge refit on this theatre. I no longer attend the theatre in Fredericton. Too old, uncomfortable, dirty, and expensive.

Shockingly Shabby

August 26, 2017

Fredericton is a beautiful city, with painstakingly kept green spaces and amazing old architecture - and the crappiest theater I've ever seen. Why is the prettiest city in the province, our CAPITAL CITY, the home of such a scabby old pit of a theater? It's embarassing.

Worst movie theater (please read)

December 01, 2015

I just finished watching Specter in cinema #8 and I probably gonna have to go see a physiotherapist tomorrow given the position my neck was trying to go through the movie. After a week of wait to see Specter (because tickets were sold out the previous week (probably because this theater is so small!!)) I finally get the chance to watch it, seating in the second row in a puddle of sticky old pop. I was so excited! Especially as well because the seats are so shitty that you barely can move without disturbing the person beside you. The only good thing about this movie theatre is that your pop corn stays warm because this garbage place is so damn warm (produced by body heat and a major lack of ventilation).

The movie experience of yesteryear

January 26, 2016

Terribly outdated. Awful seating, dirty, dated, and in desperate need of an upgrade. Can't believe they can charge premium prices for such a poor experience.

Old, dirty & expensive

January 24, 2024

Just like the rest of the mall, the theatre is old, dirty & expensive. Approximately $75 for 2 adults, with 2 med popcorn & 2 pop.

Poor excuse for a movie going experience

January 17, 2019

This has to be the most outdated theater in North America. I don't think they've spent a dime on any kind of reno's in 20+ years. Case in point: The same armrest has been broken in theater 7 since I was in high school in 1998. I've been to theaters all across Canada and the States and nearly all of them have updated seating in a stadium setting, reclining chairs and proper legroom and sound systems that aren't crackling and popping through every loud scene. My wife and I have gotten so tired of putting up with such a shabby theater that we have over 200 dollars in movie money piled up from bday gifts and xmas gifts that we never use because its not even worth spending a gift card to see a movie here. Please, please bring this theater up to modern standards. Moncton and Saint John both have modern theaters and it's about time Fredericton does as well.

Disappointed

March 07, 2014

My first time writing a review of any sort...and I am more than motivated to write this one. Cleanliness seems to have gone right out the window and is borderline disgusting in the men's washroom. To top it off...you get all this for an increase in consession and movie prices. Do yourself a favor...avoid Fredericton Cineplex and find other means to enjoy your movie experience. Really Cineplex???
