only suitable for horror movies

January 03, 2017

The sound at this theatre is way too loud; seats are uncomfortable and the floor is sticky; the price of the concessions boggles the mind, and worst of all, they show TERRIBLE movies and pass on the good ones. They are only interested in entertaining teenagers with mind numbing violence and horror. Horror just about sums it up!

Something needs to be done

I'm not one to complain but this cinema is so outdated its just unreal. For what we pay we should have updated seats and better sound!

Like going to a movie in 1990

June 16, 2014

This theatre is a place that time forgot. They crank up the volume so loud. Maybe it's to compensate for the 20th century seating arrangements. The staff try but everything looks like they go as cheap as possible. But its the only game in town so we're stuck with this monopoly for first-run movies.

Staff try but theatre outdated and uncomfortable

November 20, 2014

I can't repeat what's already been said. Needs to be updated severely. When I go to a movie in Saint John or Moncton it's like time traveling compared to the theatre in Fredericton. Every single time I've gone, the floors are STICKY and messy. The seating is old, terribly uncomfortable, and hasn't been updated (except for 1 theatre 10+ years ago) since they opened. Staff are great but the atmosphere and environment take away from any 'good' movie-going experience here.

Worst theatre in New Brunswick

November 22, 2014

Dirty and disgusting. Better off renting a movie and watching from home. No sense going. Go to Woodstock or Saint John if you want a better experience.

Shit ASS Theatre

July 26, 2015

Most of the staff are incompetent but some try. Too many high school nerds and not enough people who have a knowledge of film history. Every time I go to this dingy theatre, I leave with a bad experience. The sound is way too loud and the chairs looking like they were torn apart by wild animals. The floors are so sticky it feels like an adult film was displayed on screen. Worst of all, too many mainstream movies: Example - The Avengers 2 on FOUR screens and last Christmas we had to fight for "The Imitation Game." We never got Selma, Birdman or Inherent Vice. There is no excuse especially since Birdman won BEST PICTURE. This theatre always says "upgrades are coming," this is a crock. I wish they would give us some solid information but it clearly seems like they don't care about this theatre anymore and would rather see it burn to the ground. Empire was a dream and Cineplex needs to fix this theatre before something exploded. Angry Moviegoer.

time to make changes

June 01, 2015

This isn't all Cineplex's fault they took over a worn-out theater ...but it is time to make some changes. In Saint John you pick your seats so no over selling and makes it easier for groups to sit together . What is up with the no refill on large pop and popcorn really for what little bit they both cost compared to what you charge...seriously. I know this is about your only source of revenue since almost all the ticket price go back to the movie maker but instead of trying to make a lot off each customer make a bit off each one. The days off no other choices is gone. Netflix and such are your biggest competition and you have to enhance the experience in order to build and maintain your clientele. It is all about the experience now and looking at your reviews you are failing in that department. It all isn't bad but you have to start making changes or it will be Cinegone

meh

November 29, 2014

Old, dirty and outdated. Horrible seats, faulty projectors. Quite a blast to the past - even the one in Saint John is better. Concessions are semi decent but you might as well grab a snack at the food court before the movie. Last time I was there the projector was faulty so they gave everyone in the theater a free pass. So I gave a few more points for customer service
