Cineplex Cinemas Sherwood Park
Connected to the only enclosed mall in Strathcona County, just a few kilometres east of Edmonton, the Sherwood Park cinemas is the only theatre in the district to play first-run Hollywood fare. It opened in 2000 with enough seating to fit more than 2,000 locals. In October 2010, the Galaxy hosted a community day, showing free, family-oriented films in the morning and donating all proceeds from the concession sales to The Starlight Children’s Foundation.
