In the trailer for Robert the Bruce, it is Scotland in 1306. After Robert the Bruce (Angus Macfadyen) kills John Comyn (Jared Harris) in a sword fight, a bounty is put on his head by the English. He runs, but during his flight, collapses in the snow. A woman and her children discover him and recognize who he is. Believing him to be their king, she nurses him back to health, in spite of the danger it puts her in. When he's well, Robert the Bruce sets out on a mission to make Scotland a free country once again.
