Country singer Mindy McCready commits suicide

It’s a sad day for country music fans. Mindy McCready, 37, was found dead on Sunday at her home in Heber Springs, Arkansas from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
The country singer rose to fame in the ’90s with her album Ten Thousand Angels. She battled substance abuse and mental health problems and had appeared in 2010 on the reality show Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew.
Unfortunately, Mindy’s boyfriend, record producer David Wilson, the father of their youngest son, was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound approximately a month ago. Soon after, her sons, Zayne, 10 months and Zander, 7, were removed from her custody and she was admitted to a rehabilitation facility.
“Mindy hasn’t gotten any breaks in months. First David, then the kids, then rehab,” a source close to the country star told FOX411’s Pop Tarts column. “She’s been up and down in recent times. But after David, it was just too hard for her to bounce back.” The singer was found next to the body of her dog. Officials speculate she shot her dog and then turned the gun on herself. The news of her death was confirmed by her brother, Josh, on Sunday.
This was not McCready’s first attempt at suicide. She attempted to end her life in 2005 and again in 2008. It was announced Monday that plans are in the works to organize a memorial in Nashville in the coming days. ~Brittnee Fleming

America’s “Rhinestone Cowboy,” Glen Campbell, has sadly passed away at the age of 81. He died this morning in Nashville at a healthcare facility after battling Alzheimer’s.
She had a troubled life but it’s so sad that someone would resort to suicide and turn the gun at themselves. Condolences to her family and friends.
