With the addition of Kanye West to the list of possible American Idol judges, it seems as though the show is trying to bring in a different musical influence than they have in the past. With Mariah Carey already signed on for an $18 million dollar paycheck -- a salary that West also expects -- and Nicki Minaj as well as country artists Brad Paisley and Keith Urban all up for consideration, the next season of Idol could prove to be the revitalizing reinvention the show, now in its twelfth season, truly needs. Admittedly, these drastic changes could also put off the show's already dwindling audience, but hopefully with more household names behind the judges table, more people will tune in to see what these new voices have to say. With the majority of possible judges enjoying current popularity both on the charts and in the tabloids, it will also be interesting to see how the newbies balance Idol with their careers, should they decide to sign on. ~Morgan Bates

Kanye doesn't like white people..
(Yes, that's a jab at his Bush comment during hurricane Katrina lol)
kanye is a douchebag. he can interrupt the contestants during the performance to "critique" them, given his own outstanding vocal pipes. NOT. the most boring sounding rapper, ever, give his songs a listen and tell me honestly he doesnt sound like he's bored to tears doing it. so horribly bad.
If you ever needed a reason NOT to watch this show....
Unless he's got that machine that makes your voice sound like a computer, he doesn't know anything about singing.
Let's hope he does not interupt other people's moment like he did to a very nice young lady at a certain awards show.....shameful.
Please don't hire this guy...He's a joke and a stupid BRAT !!!
