The nominations for the 2013 Canadian Screen Awards were announced this morning. This is the first year for the Awards, which replace the Genies and Geminis, encompassing all Canadian film and television for the first time in one awards ceremony. There are 120 categories in total, including 22 for film. The awards will be given out in three separate ceremonies and the final gala, hosted by Martin Short, will be broadcast live Sunday, March 3, 2013 on CBC Television.
