Adam Lambert’s debut album at No. 1

By Alexandra Heilbron on September 30, 2009 | 4 Comments

adam_lambertHe may have come in second place on American Idol earlier this year,  but Adam Lambert’s first album is at the top of the Amazon.com charts. What’s amazing about this news is that it isn’t even due to be released until November 24th, and his record label, RCA, hasn’t announced that it’s available for pre-order. Amazon.com doesn’t have a list of the tracks, nor is there an album cover — the sales  are solely due to word of mouth — it shot to Number 1 only four days after making the top 100. In second place is the deluxe edition of Barbra Streisand’s new album, which has been in the top 100 for 63 days. Susan Boyle’s album, which was Amazon.com’s best-seller a few weeks ago and also comes out November 24th, is currently in seventh place after 30 days in the top 100. ~Alexandra Heilbron

This is really God’s will for a lovely soul like Adam. And the guy has enormous talents yet unique that set him apart from all the rest of popular singers we currently have today, and maybe for generations to come. So he’s truly deserving of what’s happening to him now. I just hope he won’t be affected by this extraordinarily phenomenal success. Congrats and Godspeed, Adam.
