Argylle remains box office champion second weekend in a row

Henry Cavill Argylle posterAfter winning the top spot at the box office last weekend, the spy thriller Argylle continued to hold onto first place, beating out newcomer Lisa Frankenstein.

Argylle starring Bryce Dallas HowardHenry Cavill and Sam Rockwell, remained at the top, earning an additional $6.5 million for a two-week total of $28.8 million.

Lisa Frankenstein starring Kathryn Newton as a teen who falls in love with a dead man (Cole Sprouse), debuted in second place with $3.8 million.

The Beekeeper starring Jason Statham held onto third place, earning an additional $3.5 million for a five-week total of $54.7 million.

The Chosen: Season 4 – Episodes 1-3 about the life of Jesus, dropped two spots to fourth, taking in another $3.2 million for a two-week total of $12.6 million.

Rounding out the top five was Wonka starring Timothée Chalamet. It earned an extra $3.1 million for a nine-week total of $205.3 million. Click here to read our review.
