World famous country singer and dad to pop star Miley Cyrus, Billy Ray Cyrus is going to be starring in the hit Broadway musical Chicago later this year. Now in its 16th year, Chicago is Broadway’s longest-running musical revival of all time. It is based on a 1926 play by the same name and follows the story of Roxie Hart through her tale of corruption and deceit in prohibition-era Chicago. The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer is going to be playing the role of criminal lawyer Billy Flynn for seven weeks beginning on November 5th. The role has previously been played by Usher, Jerry Springer, Richard Gere (in the 2003 film), and David Hasselhoff, to name a few. Cyrus has been a competitor on Dancing with the Stars, starred in the TV series Doc and has appeared in feature films such as the 2001 thriller Mulholland Dr. He most famously played alongside his daughter in the Hannah Montana TV series. ~Stacy Raivich
