Chinese woman to get surgery to look like Alba

A Chinese woman says she’s planning to get plastic surgery in order to look just like actress Jessica Alba. Xiaoqing, 21, says she’s doing it partly to win back her 28-year-old ex-boyfriend, who often forced her to wear make up the same way Alba wears hers and to wear a blonde wig. She told the Shanghai Daily: “I have made my decision. I’m not only doing it for my ex-boyfriend, but for myself. I am a psychologically weak person. I want to do something to challenge myself and build a strong personality through it.” Xiaoqing added: “I love him very much…. that’s why I always followed his opinions. I don’t want to lose him.”

This poor young woman is obviously not stable and wants surgery for all the wrong reasons. Any ethical doctor will not do this surgery after doing a mental assessment. However an unethical surgeon will, which just makes this whole thing even scarier. Where is her family, where are her friends?
She’s expressing her desire. However, she may have a change of heart. Lets hope.

I think she is not quite right in the head but I wish her good luck. On the off chance that she does end up looking like Jessica, she will be a very attractive person ( at least physically)
You should never let a guy change you because if you do, he’ll make you into who he wants you to be. It changes who you are completely and its hard to turn back. Its not worth it in the end because he’ll never respect you knowing that he has that much control over you. That guy is so not worth wasting her time on.

Unfortunately China is one of the still too many places in this world where a woman’s value is less than a man’s, and growing up in such a culture makes is hard for a girl to develop self esteem. It’s also sad to see how the notion of ‘beauty’ gets narrower and narrower: I read recentely that in an effort to look more ‘westernized’ many asian women subject themselves to horrific procedures: lengtening of bones to become taller, and even cutting muscles out of their legs wich they consider ‘too thick’.This woman is just one example of bigger issues…

She should take pride in her own appearance and culture. If she proceeds with the surgery and he breaks up with her later anyways she will have an identity crisis.Sounds like he is looking for something he cannot have and resorts to fantasy.

I think that the true meaning of beauty is to be yourself. No matter what people say about you, you know yourself better, and you know you are better. If a man ever wants you to change, he will never love you for who you are even if you go through surgery, pain, or whatever it will put you through. BE YOURSELF THAT’S WHAT MATTERS.

Eyes are not the problem. Mine are bigger than some of my white friends and I get mistaken for being other races all the time. Not all Chinese ppl have small eyes. This girl is just a moron! I say if you weren’t born with it then it wasn’t meant to be
