Cory Monteith to be remembered in Glee finale

Cory Monteith Cory Monteith will be ”remembered” in the Glee finale. The actor passed away at the age of 31 in July 2013, meaning creator Ryan Murphy had to re-work the original ending he had planned for the show, but his co-star Kevin McHale says his late pal – who played Finn Hudson – will still have a ”mention” in the final episode of the TV series.

Kevin said: ”I think he is always remembered and especially at a time like this at the very end, there will definitely be some sort of mention of him. He’ll be involved in some way.”

Kevin portrays disabled Artie Abrams in the show and is planning to take a special souvenir from the set and has even asked co-star Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina Cohen-Chang) to help him sneak the special prop off the set. He admitted to ‘Access Hollywood’: ”I’m going to [steal the wheelchair]. I’m absolutely going to. I already asked Jenna if I could fit it into her car. She has a bigger car than I do.”

Shooting hasn’t yet wrapped on the show, but the 26-year-old actor is expecting the final day to be emotional. He said: ”We’re all gonna be a mess. I would think maybe Lea [Michele] will cry the most… She can just turn it on. But, even in scenes when I look at her and she starts tearing up, it gets me. There’s something about when she cries. It hits you.”

And Kevin is feeling ”very anxious” about one of his final scenes. He said: ”I was texting with Amber Riley (Mercedes Jones) last night and I was like, ‘I’m very anxious. Today’s a big day. We’re filming a very big number today, actually. I go straight from here to Glee and it’s our last group number ever. It’s weird because…it’s my second to last day filming forever on Glee.'”
