Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law will all replace Heath Ledger in Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Ledger had already filmed several scenes when he died of an accidental overdose of prescription medicine on January 22. The film focuses on a magical acting troupe and alternate dimensions, so it’s believed Depp, Farrell and Law will each play a different incarnation of Ledger’s character, known as “Tony.” According to Variety, the fact that Ledger agreed to be involved helped secure the independent production’s $30 million budget. Without its biggest star, the movie has three options, the paper said: recast, shoot around Ledger’s absence or call “cut.”

DC Films President Walter Hamada said during a deposition that Warner Bros. initially declined Amber Heard’s option to appear in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
Yeah, now they just need an extra $30 million over and above the other $30 million, so that they can give these 3 guys a paycheck!!!
It would be really great to see them use the film that had ledger in the movie so if they can pull this off, I say go for it. With names like, Depp, Farrell and Law whom are all amazing actors..I just don’t see this going bad. The only way I could see this not being good is if they just scrap the film.
They won’t need extra $ for these actors. It’s quite common for actor’s to waive their large fees to appear in movies that can get them critical acclaim instead. Bruce Willis has done it before.
Maybe, but how can you know for sure Dave, that these 3 actors are definitely going to work pro-bono???
I can’t say for sure, but I wouldn’t be surprised that they’d like their egoes stroked with the publicity of being in the last Heath Ledger film.
They don’t work “pro-bono” they work for ‘Scale’ aka minimum wage plus a percentage of gross ticket sales. Work out nicely!!
Jude Law looks really funny in this picture! He kinda looks like The Count from Sesame Street!! LOL.
That is exactly who he looks like. LOL
I guess you can tell who has the kids on this site.
C is for Cookie…
Sesame Street Thats the one with the gay guys Bert and ernie right?
🙂
Hey, Bert and Ernie had separate beds! I don’t think they were gay, I think they were “non-sexual”!
