George Clooney tops the box office

George Clooney‘s new picture, The American, took over the top spot despite poor ticket sales over the long weekend. It earned an estimated $13 million and a Tribute Viewer rating of 2 stars out of 5. Last weekend’s top movie, Takers, sank to second place with $11.5 million and a Tribute Viewer rating of 3 out of 5 stars. The new film Machete debuted in third with $11.3 million and a Tribute Viewer rating of 4 stars. The Last Exorcism moved from second place to fourth, taking in an additional $7.6 million and earning a Tribute Viewer rating of 2 stars. Rounding out the top five was the romantic comedy Going the Distance, starring Drew Barrymore and Justin Long, which earned $6.9 million at the box office and a Tribute Viewer rating of 3 out of 5 stars. Although The American was also at the top of the The Canadian box office with 1.3 million, the rest of the top five showed mostly different results. The Expendables, which ranked sixth at the North American box office, was second with $970,046. Machete was third with $814,240, while Eat Pray Love dropped a spot to fourth, earning $778,457. Inception continues to be a favorite with Canadians, earning the fifth spot and $706,529. Going the Distance, Takers, and The Last Exorcism were sixth, seventh and eighth place respectively.

I can’t see how this movie is the number one, unless it was the ONLY movie playing in the ENTIRE world and people were EXTREMELY DESPERATE to see a movie! It is the ABSOLUTE WORST movie I have EVER SEEN!!!!!!!! Do yourself a favour and DO NOT GO SEE THIS MOVIE! It has no dialogue, no plot, little story and NO ACTION! It’s a real snoozer.

Dang, I’ll be giving my tribute user review after I see it on Wed. Thank gosh my mom won tickets on radio, I’d hate to waste money one something with this many varied reviews. Not even looking forward to it now.

Yeah, it’s number one because there’s not that much competition. 13 million isn’t exactly a lot

This movie is just a remake of films from the past. Clooney is becoming the P Diddy of actors.

Machete was a much better film. Resident Evil comes out this week and we know it will be a huge hit.

It must’ve made money because of his name because all the reviews say it stinks.
