Warner Bros. is developing a big screen version of the 1960s TV series Gilligan’s Island. The show was about a group of seven very different people who were stranded on an uninhabited Pacific island when their tour boat was wrecked during a storm. Although no official casting has been announced, Michael Cera seems to be the frontrunner for the role of Gilligan, the bumbling, dim-witted crew member of the S.S. Minnow, although Justin Long and Drake Bell have been singled out by People.com as possible choices, with readers choosing Long as their favorite to play the role, which was originated by Bob Denver.
