Golden Globe nominations announced: See the full list

Golden Globe AwardsDespite controversy in regards to the Golden Globes (including the fact that there was not a single Black person within the 87 members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association), they have released their nominations. In the past year, the HFPA has promised to make changes, including appointing a new president, German journalist Helen Hoehne. It also added 21 people as members, stating that a third of the new members identify as Black. However, NBC, which has been airing the ceremony live for years, announced it will not broadcast the 2022 show. Also, a number of celebrities have spoken out against the HFPA, which means celebrity attendance could be minimal. The show hasn’t announced a host or air date yet.

In previous years, Golden Globe winners often went on to win Academy Awards. This year, Belfast and The Power of the Dog both received seven Golden Globe nominations. On the TV side, Apple TV+ series The Morning Show and Ted Lasso each received four nods, while the Disney+ series Only Murders in the Building received three. Check the full list below. ~Alexandra Heilbron

What a joke that Lady Gaga was nominated, and not Penelope Cruz!

They’re done. They should close up shop.
