Heidi Klum and Seal confirm divorce rumors

After seven years of what seemed like a fairy-tale marriage, supermodel Heidi Klum and her singer husband Seal are getting divorced. Rumors surrounding riffs in their relationship have been circulating for a while and in a joint statement released to People magazine yesterday, they confirmed their split. “We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart,” they said. However, there’s reportedly more to the divorce than just drifting apart — Klum is tired of dealing with Seal’s volcanic temper, a source told gossip site TMZ. The source also revealed that Klum’s recent entrepeneurial success has contributed to the problem. While there’s been no word from either party on these allegations, the pair maintains in their statement that there are no hard feelings. “This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support.” The statement continues with a request for privacy for the sake of their four children, including Klum’s daughter from a previous marriage whom Seal legally adopted in 2009.
