Hugh Jackman is scared he's going to suffer a "heart attack." The actor - who stars as the titular character in superhero spin-off
The Wolverine - admitted the diet he has to stick to when he gets in shape for the role worries him because he knows it's "not good." Speaking to the
Mail on Sunday newspaper's
Event Magazine, he said: "It's not good for me to eat 6,000 calories a day. I have to eat a dozen eggs every day. The only way [varying the diet] works is eating chicken. I know there are vegan body builders but chicken is what works for me. Lots and lots of chicken ... I worry I'll have a heart attack." The 44-year-old star has to undertake a huge workout regime - which he hates - every time he plays the mutant and he admitted
he thought people pushing themselves so hard for a similar goal were "idiots." He added: "I used to go to the gym and see these guys pumping iron and I thought they were idiots. In what situation could you need to bench 350 pounds? I never understood the addiction, it's just painful. But that's what I do to become Wolverine."

Celebrities show their support for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry after their explosive interview with Oprah, in which they discussed a number of topics.
If he knows there are vegan bodybuilders, who are obviously healthy and in no danger of a heart attack, but he insists on eating numerous chickens, then if he has a heart attack, he has no one to blame but himself. That’s his choice. There also tons of carcinogens in chicken. I’d worry more about cancer if I was him.
Andrea – you are retarded………
Geo yes I agree, Andrea you are very ignorant with zero knowledge on this subject
I actually thought he was vegan since he was training with Brendan Brazier for the part but I guess not? It is definitely possible but maybe the volume he’d have to eat is just too much for him or something.
It’s not as bad as it sounds. He is also burning and using those calories. Add cardio, make sure the heart (a muscle) is just as strong as the other muscles being built. I’m sure he can afford doctors check ups and if anyhting is probably preventing heart attack! Re:Chicken and eggs, come on. There’s issues no matter what you eat, even your veggies. Go organic if you need to but then we’d have an skeleton Wolverine. You NEED complete protein, it’s a delicate balance or you affect other body functions.
