Hugh Jackman was injured while making an appearance on Oprah Winfrey’s show yesterday. The talk show host is currently in Australia taping her show with guests such as Jackman, Russell Crowe, Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban and Olivia Newton-John. Jackman made his entrance by sliding down a a cable from the top of the Sydney Opera House to a giant outdoor stage set up for the broadcast. Unfortunately, Jackman crashed, smashing his face into the stage’s lighting rig. Jackman did his interview with Oprah after being looked after by medics. He sustained a black eye and was seen on the show with a bandage under his eye. “That was so much fun, until the end,” Jackman joked to Oprah on the show. “I came down waving to everyone, looking over Sydney Harbor, saw my dad, the kids and you [Winfrey], went to pull the brake and then boing.” Jackman later explained that the excitement of sliding down the cable onto the stage caused him to hit the brake too late. During his appearance, he gave Oprah pointers on eating Vegemite, a traditional Australian spread made from black yeast.

Ellen DeGeneres is ending her long-running talk show after the upcoming season 19 following toxic workplace allegations. Read what she had to say about it.
lol. im glad hes ok, but it sounds like a silly accident. this could have been prevented if he had have just walked on stage. lol.
Walking on stage is just boring. I’m glad he is OK and I am sure once this is all over he can laugh about it
He’s a tough professional. At least he didn’t whine or likely not one to sue Oprah lol.
That would’ve been a great entrance, anyway I’m glad he wasn’t hurt too badly. What a trouper, still doing the show even though he needed stitches under his eye.
