Police searching for eyewitness in Bobbi Kristina Brown case

The events surrounding and leading up to Bobbi Kristina Brown’s being found unconscious in a bathtub continue to unravel.

Reports indicate that Bobbi Kristina was excessively missing her late mother Whitney Houston. It’s almost three years to the day Whitney was found face down in a hotel bathtub just one day before the Grammy Awards in 2012. According to a source for Us Weekly, Bobbi Kristina had also had a fight with her boyfriend Nick Gordon (whom she claimed to have married last year) just days before she was hospitalized on January 31 after being found face down and unresponsive in her bathtub. Nick reportedly moved out of their Atlanta home after the fight.

“She was very depressed and very upset,” the source said. “Whitney’s death hit her harder than anyone will ever know.”

The Roswell Police Department is also investigating the possibility that another person may have been in the home, but fled the scene before help arrived. At the time of the incident, Roswell police officer Lisa Holland said, “There were no drugs out in the open.” However, after police conducted a second, more thorough search they confirmed they did find drugs in the home.

According to reports, Max Lomas, 24, was with Nick when he found her in the tub. Max had allegedly earlier been arrested for drug distribution. Fulton County Jail records indicate he was taken into custody on January 14 and later released on $15,000 bond. Max has previously been arrested in relation to firearms, alcohol and a probation violation.

According to a source, police have been visiting nearby businesses and questioning employees. “[Police] were asking if they saw anyone jump the wall behind the house, or if anyone was seen leaving the area,” the source said. “But no one recalled seeing anyone or anything suspicious. But the cops also were looking for video.”

The police aren’t the only ones conducting an investigation. In a statement Bobbi Kristina’s father Bobby Brown said, “We are currently investigating the events that led to the hospitalization of Bobbi Kristina.” The statement also attests that, contrary to reports, Bobbi Kristina “is not and has never been married to Nick Gordon.”

Bobby has been staying by his daughter’s bedside and singing to her, with other family members. According to a relative, Bobby has been singing Whitney’s “Greatest Love of All.” Bobby is also making all the decisions regarding his daughter’s care and had her moved to Emory University Hospital.

According to a family member, Bobbi and her father have had a rocky relationship, but he is not ready to give up. “Deep down, they love each other very much,” the family member said. “It would kill Bobby to lose her. I mean literally kill him.”

Bobbi Kristina has reportedly made eye movements and has an increased amount of oxygen getting to her brain. But it’s possibile she may have permanent injuries.

“She’s been through a lot,” Bobbi Kristina’s cousin Jerod told NBC News. “This is a hard time, it’s her mother’s anniversary of her death. It’s been a hard time, it’s a rough time of year. But she’s a tiger, she’s going to pull through it.” ~Sandra D. Sukraj
