The Artist leads Golden Globe nominations

The Artist has received the most Golden Globe nominations, leading the field with six, while The Help and The Descendants each received five. The Artist has also been nominated for three SAG awards and won Best Picture from the Boston Society of Film Critics. Ryan Gosling picked up double nominations for both Actor in a Drama (The Ides of March) and Actor in a Musical or Comedy (Crazy, Stupid, Love), while George Clooney received three nominations — Best Director and Best Screenplay for The Ides of March, and Actor in a Drama for The Descendants. The 69th Annual Golden Globes award ceremony,  hosted by Ricky Gervais, will take place January 15 at the Beverly Hilton and will be broadcast on NBC.
