Jim Carrey apologizes to assault rifle owners

By Tribute on July 9, 2013 | 3 Comments

Jim Carrey has apologized for a Twitter rant in which he trashed people who support the sale of automatic weapons. In March, the 51-year-old actor took to Twitter with a tirade about gun control, claiming its opponents are “heartless motherf***ers unwilling 2 bend 4 the safety of our kids.” On Sunday, he once again used social media as his platform, this time to apologize for his use of inappropriate language. He tweeted: “Asslt rifle fans,I do not agree wth u,nor do I fear u but I do love u and I’m sorry tht in my outrage I called you names. That was wrong.” This comes just two weeks after the actor publicly denounced the level of violence exhibited in his forthcoming action film, Kick-Ass 2. Although he expressed remorse for the name-calling, he assured that his view on gun control will remain the same. “Btw I don’t need a crisis mgr, just a conscience. Calling ppl names is inappropriate but my position on assault weapons hasn’t changed,” he added. ~Alfonso Espina

Didn’t Jim notice the violence in the scenes he ‘shot’ so to speak? lol. Otherwise ya, they are pretty hardcore gun culture down in the states.
Oddly I was watching TV this morning and the answer to the school shootings now is to get guns in the school and train the teachers how to use them! Yep, showed teachers at the firing range and the answer is not to have gun control it’s to add more guns. Hmmm..more $ for the gun companies and bullet makers and vest makers etc…

CHeckit, the school shootings happened after he filmed his scenes and that’s when he began to denounce that level of violence and guns and whatnot.

Jim, get a pair and stand up to your convictions.

On second thought, better not … now that you are an American.
