Johnny Depp and the mother of his two children, longtime girlfriend Vanessa Paradis, keep saying they’re not getting married, so what was Depp doing shopping for an engagement ring? OK! reports that the Oscar-nominated actor had a California jewelry store closed so that he could shop in private. An insider revealed: “This was Johnny’s third or fourth visit to the store. He looked at an assortment of classic solitaire diamond rings in platinum settings — a really beautiful selection of elegant and understated rings.” Depp and Paradis have been together for ten years and live in France. The source said Depp wound up making a “very large purchase.”

Totally agreed, mandee! I watch all his films even if they are no good, just because he’s in them! Speaking of, what did everyone think of Sweeney Todd? I didn’t think it was all that great, I think because they made a musical out of a horrific true story. The acting was great, and he was hot of course, but it’s not one I will be buying.
i enjoyed sweeney todd, but i think mainly BECAUSE it was a musical. i love anything with music in it, and johnny is tooo gorgeous, i cant resist myself !!!!! i really loved his acting in secret window and in charlie and the chocolate factory, what did u think?
Oh, I love his acting, period, I think he’s a fantastic actor, one of the best! I really enjoyed Secret Window, and absolutely LOVE all the pirates movies. I liked Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, a great movie to watch with kids, lots of fun. My least favorite movie of his was Edward Scissorhands, but his acting was still awesome. I think I wasn’t all that nuts about Sweeney Todd because I don’t think it told the real story clearly enough, it is an amazing story, but the movie didn’t make it feel real. *sigh*, I just love looking at him! hehehe!
