Kristen Stewart paid $500,000 to meet prince

Harvey Weinstein revealed a little gem about Kristen Stewart while promoting The Weinstein Company’s new movie 12.12.12 at the Toronto International Film Festival this week. The movie is about the concert that took place on December 12, 2012 at Madison Square Garden to raise money for the Hurricane Sandy relief fund, and while talking to The New York Times, Weinstein had an interesting anecdote. Journalist Michael Cieply wrote: “Mr. Weinstein described persuading [Kristen Stewart] to accept an offer from a Middle Eastern prince, who said he would make a large contribution to the Sandy relief effort if she would speak with him. ‘How much?’ Ms. Stewart asked, according to Mr. Weinstein. He checked with the prince, who proposed a figure, which Mr. Weinstein promptly raised to $500,000. The money was delivered in advance, in cash, Mr. Weinstein said. [James Dolan, MSG’s chairman] locked it up in Madison Square Garden, he said. ‘And Kristen sits with the guy for 15 minutes.'”

    $500,000 for a 15 minute chat???
I sure hope she donated the cash to the Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund, if she didn’t, then shame on her.

It appears that you need to hire a proof reader ~ what’s wrong with this sentence?
“The movie is about the concert that took place on December 12, 2012 at Madison Square Garden to raise movie for the Hurricane Sandy relief fund, and while talking to The New York Times, Weinstein had an interesting anecdote.”
HINT: How do you raise movie?

Easy! You name your child movie!

Kathy, did you somehow miss this part?

“”Mr. Weinstein described persuading [Kristen Stewart] to accept an offer from a Middle Eastern prince, who said he would make a large contribution to the Sandy relief effort if she would speak with him”

So that means more than half of the money raised from the concert was due to her talking to a prince? More stars should talk to princes – there’s no need for those of us with modest incomes to donate anything when idiots like this guy will spend half a million on a couple of minutes with an awkward moron like KS.

No need for the name calling Janet. KS did a nice thing and $500,000.00 went to Sandy relief so who cares who the Prince wants to speak to. Good for her…more celebs should do that.

How come no one is complaining about YET ANOTHER bullshit, misleading headline from Tribute.ca. There are TWO ways to interpret the sentence “Kristen Stewart paid $500,000 to meet prince”:

    (1) That KS paid $500,000 of her own money to meet a prince; or

    (2) That KS received $500,000 to meet a prince.

Neither of those is true. An accurate headline would be “Middle Eastern prince donates $500,000 to meet Kristen Stewart”. But wait that’s not very interesting so Tribute has to basically lie. Bravo, hacks!

Really, Sol? There are so many things to complain about (and undoubtedly you must do a lot of it in your life) and you choose this minute detail to whine about? The headline is technically accurate. Shut up and get on with your life. Take a deep breath and stop annoying everyone around you.

Silly prince who has too much money. Wouldn’t you think the silly prince would want to talk to someone who smiled? Kristen Stewart always looks so miserable or maybe she has bad teeth?

The whole frickin’ works of you are whiners. Get out, and get a life!

  11. Smuckers • September 12, 2013 @ 3:33 PM

I agree with gbh999 and Sol, you seem to have anger issues to a degree that’s unhealthy. I’m sensing an unsuccessful writer with envy problems? Maybe an attitude adjustment would help you reach your goals. I enjoy the stories here, I find they’re usually more thorough than other sites and better researched.

  12. Beatrix • September 12, 2013 @ 5:42 PM

I completely agree with Sol. That’s media hype for you!

  13. Beatrix • September 12, 2013 @ 5:45 PM

& Kerrie since you know her so well why don’t you ask her? Met he twice and she smiles when she’s actually talking to fans and people who actually want to talk to her. Not paparazzi’s and LOSERS LIKE YOU! #ifyoudontknowthenshutyourmouth
