Lindsay Lohan’s dad says she was high on SNL

When Lindsay Lohan took to the Saturday Night Live stage on March 3, many felt her performance was a bit off — and now we know why. In an interview with entertainment blog Celebrity VIP Lounge, Lindsay’s father, Michael Lohan, insists she was high on prescription medication during the entire show. “On SNL, Lindsay was not using any illicit drugs or drinking but she still is on prescription drugs that they gave her,” said Michael. “But she doesn’t need them… they kind of make her flat. She’s not acting at a full potential.” Throughout the night, Lohan seemed nervous and hazy, heavily relying on cue cards and fumbling many of her lines. SNL was her first gig in a series of comeback roles that includes the TV movie Liz and Dick as well as a guest appearance on Glee. Michael says her cameo as a judge on the series is a better indication of her talent. “Now when she did Glee I said, ‘Linds, get off the damn medication and let people see who you really are.’ And for a couple days before Glee, she went off this stuff. And there were tears in my eyes when I watched Glee. That was Lindsay.” ~Kyle Sharp
