Meg RyanMeg Ryan’s ex-boyfriend still thinks she’s ”an angel.” The Kate & Leopold star, who was previously married to Dennis Quaid, split from John Mellencamp in July after three years of dating, but he admits time spent apart was the main reason for their break-up and hasn’t ruled out a reconciliation. The 62-year-old rocker told Howard Stern on his Sirius XM radio show: ”Meg is an angel. She was just an angel sent to me at the right time.
We tried to have a relationship for three years–long distance. We’ll see what happens.” Meg, 52, lives in Manhattan with her adopted daughter Daisy, nine, while John lives in Bloomington, Indiana. A source previously told People magazine that the former couple ”had distance problems during the entire relationship and tried to make it work, but it wasn’t meant to be.” Another source recently said: ”Meg enjoyed going to Bloomington with John to visit, but she isn’t going to pull up stakes from Manhattan, it’s where she made her life with her daughter. His heart is still in his native Indiana. He made a vow as a young man that he would never abandon it again after leaving twice before.”
