Miley Cyrus apologizes for ‘inappropriate’ photos

A semi-nude Miley Cyrus is to appear in the June issue of Vanity Fair. Just a week after scandalous self-taken pictures of Miley hit the net, Annie Leibovitz has taken photos of the 15-year-old pop star topless draped in a satin bed sheet for a photo spread.
Miley told People.com: “I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed. I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.”
The Disney Channel supports its Hannah Montana star, saying, “Unfortunately, as the article suggests, a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines.”
As for the photos Miley took herself she told Associated Press they were “silly, inappropriate shots” and she was sorry if she had disappointed anyone: “I appreciate all the support of my fans, and hope they understand that along the way I am going to make mistakes and I am not perfect. Most of all, I have let myself down. I will learn from my mistakes and trust my support team. My family and my faith will guide me through my life’s journey.”

These poor girls, just don’t learn do they? Where are their agents or parents?
She cares so deeply about her fans. Where have I heard that before? Oh yes, I believe Britney used to say things like that!
Unfortunately, Miley is headed toward that big downward spiral like all young girls of her fame. What a shame.

As she gets older, she will appeal less to a younger demographic. So, like Britney, she’ll have to change her image to attract an older crowd (remember how Britney went from school girl to sex slave in her videos).
Miley knew what the photos looked like and she knew that it would stir up controversy. But young celebrities these days want attention, whether it’s good or bad.
Wouldn’t her father, for example, have to sign off on the photos since she isn’t an adult?

Okies, why would any one say …won’t they learn. How can ANYONE learn from anything if they don’t go through that experience them selves ya know. Everyone can spreech and spreech on what not to do, and what is wrong, but how can one really learn until they live it?
For what she did was harmless, maybe not for her career, but every one does something. Its just more harsh on these ppl becos they are in ppl’s eye ya know.
I just say live and let learn. All these ppl that hate what she did…think really hard about it and put your self in her shoes. I mean it …take time and really think hard about it!
It’s done what it was meant to do …..draw atttention to her make here the flavour of the month. It is ashme that her parent seemed to condone these action to further her career. Here we go again it another Britney , Paris so much for Disney’s golden girl!

Hey now if you had everyone around you telling you the you are the best the hottest thing and on and on you would beleive you could do anything too. High rated show, movie, concerts etc, etc we build them up in oder to tare them down when they do something we disaprove of. We are as at fault for demanding so much of them. How many times this year on this site have people wrote that she is such a role model for our children. She is 15 she is not a role model she is a child!!!

Brittney Spears has more problems then anyone we know. She’s a hard partyer, she has exhibited unusual behaviour with wearing wigs and dressing way more inappropriately then anyone else that we know of, and lastly she has had custody battle after custody battle for her children with a guy that probably dosen’t even love them!!! So here we are with a role model that has been better then anyone else and is just starting out. Stop bashing her and see that she is a human being who will make mistakes.

It’s damage control and nothing else. If she cared so much, she and her parents/handlers would not have done the pictures in the first place.
I just get so sick of these kids posing for these kind of pictures, wearing the clothes they do etc. so they can “look” 30 at 15 and then we wonder why kiddie porn and pedophilia are a growing problem today. Why can’t we just let kids be kids anymore?
