Miley Cyrus confirms romance

By Alexandra Heilbron on March 8, 2010 | 20 Comments

miley_cyrus_oscarsMiley Cyrus has confirmed she is dating Liam Hemsworth. The singer-and-actress has been linked to the hunk ever since they shot upcoming movie The Last Song together last year. Neither had commented on the relationship rumors until now, even though they have been pictured canoodling in public. “Yes,” Miley said, when asked if she was romancing Liam. When pressed on how serious the relationship is, Miley would only say she was “maybe” in love. The 17-year-old didn’t take Liam to the Oscars, instead opting to walk the red carpet with her mother Tish. The teenager wore a nude strapless gown by Jenny Packham, and admitted she was worried about falling over. “I am a little bit nervous about the stairs,” she explained. “Last time I was here, I was with my dad and he kept stepping on my dress. I am hoping that doesn’t happen again!”

Any this is news worthy because????? By the way, the dress did not suit her. What the hell is she doing there anyways. Goes to show you that the oscars continue to produce bad ratings.

    ^ shut up.

  3. Deena • March 8, 2010 @ 5:40 PM

    Amanda, lol! You’re awesome.

you little girls realize that Miley Cyrus could careless about you too. i was there yesturday and she did not even want to shake a liitle girls hand when her rep and others tried to get her to do that for a photo. She still has alot of growning up to do and there is no way she will ever win an oscar. She needs to spread her self more and stop doing teen drama’s. She has talent.

  5. Parent • March 8, 2010 @ 8:34 PM

Marcell, you have a big mouth.
“Any this is news worthy because?????” — You can’t type. This should say “And” not “Any”. Newsworthy is one word, not two. It’s newsworthy because she’s a celebrity. Duh.

“By the way, the dress did not suit her.” — Are you a fashion designer? Where’s your picture? Did anyone take your picture wearing designure clothing or did you wear something from Value Village? Maybe you weren’t even ON the red carpet?!

“What the hell is she doing there anyways. Goes to show you that the oscars continue to produce bad ratings.” –She’s there because she’s a celebrity. How does this “go to show us” that the Oscars (with a capital “O”) produce bad ratings?

“She still has alot of growning up to do and there is no way she will ever win an oscar.” — Of course she needs to grow up–she’s only 17 for Pete’s sake! Not sure how old you are, but you OBVIOUSLY need to grow up and have some respect for people’s accomplishments, no matter how big or small.

She’s at the Oscar’s because she’s been in movies perhaps. She was presenting. Also, I don’t think Deena is a “c**t”. Besides, Marcell, you weren’t there any more than I was, LOL.

  7. Nancy • March 8, 2010 @ 8:41 PM

OH OH, maybe you can call me a “c**t” now, hahahaha.

  8. Marcell • March 8, 2010 @ 11:28 PM

Parent: try to be a good parent to your bastard children. By the way jerk off, you do not see what goes on around the red carpet. The media does what is in the best interest for the Oscars. I respect the little girl more than you know.
Nancy: One day you will understand that people in hollywood will always be bigger than you and deena because it’s people like you that give them that power.

I know you guys have no life and surf the internet because you have no friends. I was given the chance to go and if you could fit in my shoes, you would have done the same. The BEST part about these OSCARS is finding out that there are some actresses that do not care what people (fans and media) think of their outfits. This is what is missing here. it call BALLS. Try attending the Toronto film fest and LISTEN to how some of your favorite actors talk about thier fans. Sorry, I forgot your followers so you will not understand.

  9. Nancy • March 9, 2010 @ 2:34 AM

Marcell: I really don’t care how they supposedly “talk about their fans”. You see, I’m not one of those fans who flocks to every event, freaking out “OMG! OMG! There he/she is!” I like a movie here and there, certain actors ACT better than others…in the movies of course. Outside the movies, they are just like us…and look how YOU are treating people on here, calling them “c**t”, “try to be a good parent to your bastard children”, etc. So how do you figure YOU are any better? Now, as for us having “no life” and “surf the internet because you have no friends”…seems to me that YOU spent quite a bit of time in here chit chatting today, LOL. I don’t care if you went or not. I would never go to anything like that because as I said, I’m not that kind of a fan. Anyways, I agree with you that people (anyone, not just actors) should wear what THEY want and not what others want them to wear. I only jumped in because you had no right to call anyone a “c**t”!

Nancy, you mean it wasn’t you I saw at the Toronto Film Fest slobbering all over the stars, on your knees begging for pictures and autographs, to be blessed by their touch upon your shoulder or forehead, after which you fainted and had to be attended to by paramedics? Or running around yelling “Where’s Miley!? Where’s Miley?! I need to see Miley!”

Gee, I was so sure that was you . . .

  11. silver • March 9, 2010 @ 12:03 PM

Oh, and by the way, I know you like sarcasm, Nancy. I agree with you that they are only people (and many don’t even act that well). It isn’t about the craft of acting, it is about celebrity. And we feed it and reward it.

  12. Deena • March 9, 2010 @ 12:13 PM

Actually, Marcell, I don’t give celebrities power and I have no idea why you would assume that from my four word comment praising another person who posted here. I’m not a big fan of any actor or actress. I just thought you were being a jerk and applauded Amanda for basically saying so. And now, kudos to Nancy as well. Thank you for calling him out and thank you to Tribute for taking his nasty comment down. You’re a class act, Marcell. That’s sarcasm, by the way.

  13. tributegirl • March 9, 2010 @ 5:41 PM

Yes, thanks tribute, I didn’t see the comment but from what I gather it was pretty bad. Marcell seems to be quite a “jerk off” and “has alot of growning up to do”.
I agree with everyone else’s comments on here, just not Marcell’s.

  14. Nancy • March 9, 2010 @ 7:37 PM

Silver: Hahahaha. Nope, that wasn’t me. It was probably Jo-WAnne…she’s said before that she’s attended TIFF. LMAO!

Deena: No problem. Not the first time, won’t be the last I’m sure. ONE of the reasons why I am so uh, how should I put it? “Well liked” on here, LOL.

  15. Jo-Anne • March 13, 2010 @ 11:24 PM

    love Miley’s dress…love TIFF…

sorry, silver, nance was the (only) one in loud spandex barred at the entrance…

  16. Nancy • March 14, 2010 @ 3:08 AM

Highly doubt it…don’t do TIFF and I certainly don’t do spandex. Unlike you Jo-WAnne, I’m not a freak who chases celebs around. If more people were like me, celebs could actually have a normal life.

  17. Jo-Anne • March 14, 2010 @ 11:52 AM

if more people were like you bad reality shows would never run out of prime contestants…

  18. Nancy • March 15, 2010 @ 1:24 PM

Awe, be careful now…April watches the same reality shows as me, even more (Bachelor). So basically, if you’re saying it about me (with the reality shows), you’re saying same about her, LOL.

  19. Jo-Anne • March 15, 2010 @ 3:48 PM

    p.s. I’d never say same about April….now, that’s just darn cruel, nance….

  20. Nancy • March 18, 2010 @ 2:35 PM

    Well, you did…LOL.
