Nick Cannon: Mariah Carey’s injuries from accident are serious

Mariah Carey‘s injuries caused by an accident on the set of her music video for the remix of her song #Beautiful are serious, according to her husband Nick Cannon. In a new interview with The Today Show, Nick revealed details of the July 7th accident that sent his pop star wife to New York’s Hospital for Special Surgery to have her shoulder reset. “She was in this nice, beautiful gown, heels on and everything, and was kind of on this platform and reached and slipped and fell on her whole side,” he said. “It was pretty serious. Not only did she dislocate her shoulder, she actually cracked a rib and chipped her shoulder bone.” Just a day after the accident, Mariah returned to the set to finish filming. Although she is still recovering, the pop diva is apparently determined to fulfill all upcoming live appearances in promotion of her new studio album, The Art of Letting Go. ~Alfonso Espina
