Paris will not be going to jail

Paris Hilton will not be going back to jail after pleading guilty this morning at a courthouse in Las Vegas to drug possession and obstructing a public officer. Instead, she’ll pay a $2,000 fine and have to complete 200 hours of community service, as well as take part in an outpatient substance abuse program. However, the judge added that if the heiress is arrested for anything else, she’ll automatically be sentenced to a year behind bars. According to friends, Paris called her latest arrest a “wake up call” and says she is tired of being a “party girl.” She added that she plans to “finally grow up and become a responsible adult,” and her first step will be to spend more time volunteering at animal shelters. Paris recently tweeted the above picture after she bought 20 bunnies from a pet store, because they were scheduled to be snake food. They’re being kept in her back yard. Paris tweeted: “They are all so happy, so nice to have changed their fate.”

Of course this happened……Community service with fuzzy fun animals she already likes handling. Aww…tough sentence. $2000 fine…even tougher for a rich person. Unbelievable.
Pretty much a joke considering she probably spends $2000 on purse that she will only use once!! I think these fines should be take into effect people’s income so that if someone like Paris does break the law that these fine should really hurt them in their pocket books. $2000 to her is nothing, $2000 to someone like me would be devastating.
I love that she rescued the bunnies. Her heart’s in the right place.

Christie: You’re joking right?? Is that all she has to do to regain your respect, rescue a few bunnies. Stars like that do that allllll the time, give money to charities and rescue animals or do commercials for PETA or whatever, it’s only to polish their public images. I’m sure I will look cynic but I don’t think most of them give a crap about the causes they endorse. Hollywood is rotten, it’s all about making more and staying in the public eye. Recording contracts or movie careers are not enough anymore. They need the clothing line, the fragrence, acting, singning and when that does work anymore, they go on DWTS or have a reality show about their screwed up family. Worst part is, there’s always people out there ready to watch or pay.
