Ashton Kutcher – Elizabethtown

When director Cameron Crowe set out to make his 2005 flick Elizabethtown he was set on casting Orlando Bloom in the lead role of Drew Baylor. Unfortunately for Crowe, Bloom was busy filming Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven and was thus unavailable for his romance dramedy. With Bloom unavailable, Crowe left it up to auditions to find his Drew Baylor and it was Ashton Kutcher who came away with the role. However, when it came to rehearsals for the film, it soon became apparent that Kutcher was unprepared for that style of acting. Both Crowe and Kutcher attempted to make it work, taking several weeks to get the actor ready for the film, but it just didn't work out. However, this delay in filming turned out to be just what the film needed, as filming on Kingdom of Heaven had wrapped, freeing Orlando Bloom to join the project.
