Best Actress – Amy Adams (Arrival)

Amy Adams was last nominated for the Oscar for Best Actress in 2014 for American Hustle. Although she is absent from the nominations list for her performance in the alien-invasion thriller Arrival, the film has received out-of-this-world reviews, and is up for a number of other awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Cinematography.
