Paranormal Activity (2008) – Alternate Ending

Before Paramount Pictures knew what kind of franchise they had on their hands, they had originally planned and shot a much darker ending to the film. Rather than the open ending that the theatrical cut of the film received, this alternate ending would have had Katie approach the camera at the end of the film and slit her throat. Obviously, Paramount refrained from going down this darker route and the end result was a hit franchise that spawned five additional films and countless copycats as the found footage craze exploded.
