Tilda Swinton – I Am Love (2010)

As one of the more eclectic actors working in Hollywood, it’s no surprise that Tilda Swinton decided to star in the Italian film, I Am Love, on which she worked as a producer with director Luca Guadagnino over the course of 11 years. Swinton stars as Emma Recchi, the matriarch of an haute bourgeoisie Italian family whose fortunes are disrupted by forces of passion and time. Well-received upon its release, it is also the first of Guadagnino’s self-described Desire Trilogy, which was followed by his 2015 film A Bigger Splash and finished by his 2017 Oscar-nominated flick, Call Me By Your Name.
