The Incredibles – The Incredibles (2004) & Incredibles 2 (2018)

Director Brad Bird really made something special for fans with Pixar's The Incredibles and its long-awaited follow-up Incredibles 2. A mish-mash of Golden Age superheroes with classic spy films, The Incredibles brings many familiar superhero elements, but adds its own modern sensibilities to them, while semi-breaking away from the typical Pixar formula and going with a family dynamic, rather than an unlikely duo. The end result is a story about a superhero family as beloved, if not more so, than Marvel's first family the Fantastic Four, which The Incredibles take obvious inspiration from.
