Zorro – The Mask of Zorro (1998)

Where would a list of movie superheroes be without this film updating the classic screen hero Zorro. The Mask of Zorro saw Antonio Banderas take on the iconic role first played by Douglas Fairbanks in the 1920 silent film The Mark of Zorro. This modern reboot looked to take the character in a much bigger direction featuring a star-studded cast led by Banderas and directed by Martin Campbell, who was coming off the massive hit that was 1995's GoldenEye. Banderas's stardom went to a new level with this film that would eventually spawn a sequel in 2005's The Legend of Zorro.
